FAQ

Is my image uploaded?

No. Cropping happens in your browser and your image never leaves your device.

How do I crop to a square or 16:9?

Pick 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 or 9:16 under “Aspect ratio”. The crop box locks to that ratio, so when you drag a corner or type a width, the height follows. Choose “Free” for any shape.

Can I enter exact pixel values?

Yes. Type the width, height, X and Y (measured from the top-left corner of the image) and the box moves to match. On a computer you can also select the box and nudge it with the arrow keys, 10 px at a time with Shift.

Does cropping change the quality or format?

The output is exactly the size of the crop box, with no scaling. The format is kept: JPG stays JPG (quality 95%), PNG stays PNG (lossless, transparency kept) and WebP stays WebP. GIF, BMP and other formats are saved as PNG.

Will phone photos come out sideways?

No. Photos are rotated upright using their EXIF orientation before cropping. The saved image contains no EXIF, GPS location or other metadata.
